of what has been carried out. You will need to provide a copy of this check to your
tenants within 28 days to assure them that everything is safe. For new tenants,
a copy should be provided at the start of their tenancy.
You are not responsible for the safety checks for appliances
owned by your tenants but should check that any outlets they are connected to
are safe. As we are Gas Safe registered, we will offer you a fair and genuine
quote to carry out your safety checks and produce a valid certificate. It is
not a legal requirement, but it is up to you, as the landlord, to ensure that
your engineer is qualified to carry out the job.
